He's leaving me!

For 2 weeks-- But he has a shopping list. He is to get a new suit, a camera, a few movies, a pair of dress shoes for himself and a few other miscellaneous items. I have until Saturday to make him a list.

He will be in Shanghai and I'm not sure I am excited for him (or for me since I'm not good at being a loner) .

Yea it's safe enough, yea it's for business, yea it's ONLY 2 weeks, yea he could be training his replacement, yea I will be OK, yea I will probably pack a few things away for when and if we ever move, yea I will be glad to have him home. BUT I still don't want him to go.

Fed up!

I am tired of being a Soccer Mom. I never really fit the profile anyway (I don't have a mini-van), but I'm not sure I will do this another season. The girl's love it and they are improving-- BUT the time commitment is killing me. 4 nights a week plus 2 games on Saturday. I keep thinking about a talk in General Conference that talked about simplifying our lives and not over-booking our children into activities. I feel that soccer makes me cranky and I am sick of feeling like I am personally supporting the big wigs who run the gasoline corps. I am asking you-- Is it worth it? Let's debate the PRO's & CON's of our children's activities-- Piano lessons= life long talent; soccer=seasonally fit children; Soccer= makes mom uncontrollably cranky; Soccer= leverage--can be taken away;

What else? You Debate the reason why I should just suck it up and deal with it --as if you were a child who really loved soccer and wanted to continue the sport--- And you (yea you) Debate mom's point of view-- reasons why it is justifiable to pull my children out at the end of the season.

Bring it on, I'm ready...

This is how it all happened:

Wednesday
It all started at 2:50pm: I left the house to get the girls from school; arrived at school at 3:10
3:15 arrived at Ry's orthodontist appointment; left there at 4:05
4:15 arrived at Piano lessons; left girls there and drove home to stir the Chili I left on the stove
5:15 Picked the girls up from piano and hurried home for Ty to change in to soccer clothes; arrived home at 5:40 left 5 minutes later for Soccer
6:05 arrived at Trussel's to drop off Ty for soccer; hurried home to feed Ry & Jo before leaving for YW's at 6:45. (Lew took Jo and picked Ty up at 7:30 and then he was supposed to put Jo and Ty to bed)
Left house at 6:45 for YW's headed home at 9, but had to drop a flyer off at someone's house and then take someone home.

~~ so when I got home at 9:30 and saw that Jo's light was on, I commented to Ry: "Holy Carp, Jo is still up. That's not good. He didn't sleep during his nap today." (he usually is in bed by 7 each night) So imagine my feelings when I came upstairs and Lew is lounged out on the couch, Jo is running around the family room and Ty has not had her shower yet-- So guess what I did for the next 30 minutes. I tried really hard to not get mad ~~

SCOOOOORRRE!!!

Ry scored her first goal ever yesterday. So, we went out for tacos afterwards to celebrate-- of course we probably would have gone out for tacos anyway. BUT I am very proud of her and her improvement in soccer!! Keep it up Ry!

Ever Put Liquid Dish Saop in the DW?

One of my children did last night- -Just to get the the dishes "extra clean" (this was in addition to the DW detergent.) So, yea, we have been running it over and over and over and mopping the floor and changing out several towels that were placed below to soak up the bubbles that are oozing out. So just in case you ever wanted to try it out-- I would suggest, unless you have a endless supply of dry towels and plenty of time to baby sit a oozing Dishwasher-- DON'T.

Catch up

Yea, so it has been a long time since I have written-- Just lazy-- nothing else. I think I left off sometime around Thanksgiving.
Christmas was good--Lew and I agree that this was the best we have had. We have been blessed immensely and were able to share some of what we have with others. Sharing has rewarded our family in ways that I cannot tell. We went ot Wnedell and spent the week doing absolutley nothing but relaxing. I do have a new hillbilly badge though-- you wanna hear about it? We went to Buhl on Christmas eve for a Christmas aprty/Birthday party for Grandma (90yo). My mom asked me to run to the store. When I was ready to come home from the store, the lights on the Suburban would not work. So I drove home in the dark withe the hazards on-- thank goodness it was less that a few miles. So I went in the house, told Lew what the problem was, he went out to stretch his brain and get it fixed. But couldn't figure it out (the right way) so he asked my dad for a light switch (yea um one that you would flip on to turn the lights on IN THE HOUSE!) and he wired it in. Works like a champ- -BUT I HAVE A LIGHT SWITCH FOR A LIGHT SWITCH!! (still and it is FEB) So yea, I'm a Hillbilly-- but I am married to a genius!
After Christmas, Lottie stayed with us for a few days, we had lunch with SarahK (google her if you want), had a great New years eve at a friends house, went sledding, and more-- (but I can't remember everything.) We found out we were expecting before Christmas, but to our dismay, I miscarried at 9 weeks and have spent the last 3 weeks getting back to normal after the D&C. A tragic accident took the life of a good friends sister (age 19) (she lived with him and his family -- they raised her as thier own child) last week on the icy roads--so I attended a difficult funeral. Lew and the Girl's went skiing last night at Bogus, Maylin watched John and Jody and I went to a movie and dinner. Now Lew and I are looking forward to reaching our 14th anniversary on Tuesday the 12th. I think we will go out tonight when he gets home from the World Wide Leadership Training meeting (church mtg).
That of course is just an overview-- but it gets me caught up, as well as you.
Today was lazy-- we should have been outside enjoying the sunshine--hope ya'll did for me!

The Tooth Fairy

She came really late this time-- Two weeks late!! Ty was getting alittle worried. But-- it did give Ty the opportunity to pull another tooth out and give the Tooth Fairy a 2 for 1 stop. The Tooth Fairy noted in her letter that she had been really busy -- with Halloween rotting teeth out and hard candy breaking teeth, ya know, the typical excuses. But she was really proud of Ty for not having any cavities and keeping her teeth shiny and clean.

The Tooth Fairy also brought this really cool book about Safari animals. It even had little puzzle like pieces where she could build her own animals-- they even stand on their own.

I'm pretty sure the at Ty is relieved that the Tooth Fairy didn't forget about her.

Full Moon?

Not sure what happened today. But there was an extreme amount of contention among my two oldest children. I think they are still adjusting from the time change and are not fully rested.
Anywho--All 3 were all tucked in by 7pm tonight. I hope they stay there so that we can have some harmony tomorrow. Wish me luck!
