playing in the white stuff

So, HH broke the crack in his butt....seriously-- he may have broke his tail bone in half... We were up at Bogus on Tuesday-- hadn't even put our skis on....and he went down. He'll be ok, but he's a bit sore.

Middle one has always been the dare-devil on skis--NO FEAR. She really has not shown any fear over the years--which scares the poo out of me. Which is why she ussully get to ski with her father only-- I can't bare to watch. I have stressed over and over to SLOW DOWN-- MORE TURNS-- etc etc... but I think this year-- she has gained a new respect for the snow and the incline/decline of the mountain.  We were on our 2nd run-- she chose the route--HH, Oldest, Middle and Myself. We got off the quad, went to the left and down the hill..until it got a bit steep. She was acting like she had never been on skis before....wahhh!! wahhh!! I'm gonna walk down, I'm done, I can't do this...etc. We had to re-teach her how to turn, when to turn, how to wedge. Finally we got down the mountain, talked her into keeping her skis on and then had a great time for the rest of the time we were there.

Oldest showed confidence combined with a bit of timid respect. She did well and I don't think she fell even once...maybe on purpose a few times...

Myself came away with only sore calves from the boots...all in all a good time indeed. Im going to try snowboarding next time I go...

We left the youngest with cousin babysitting...maybe he can go next year...we'll see...but I have a feeling he will have even less control on the hill that Middle.

I have always said that any time your family (especially the daredevil sons) come back from playing in the snow without a stop at the Emergency Room--it is a good day. Give HH my condolences.
