So, today I saw Dr. Don for the second time. He is this English chap with a pretty strong accent that always takes about 5 minutes to get used to. He comes to Boise only once every 3 weeks to see patients, he lives the rest of the time in Arizona. Originally, Cynthia wanted me to start seeing him to get my energy flow straightened out after all the trauma my body has gone through. My first visit was pretty amazing. He did some "physical therapy" on my previous injuries, including surgical scars. He was able to define areas that needed some work and taught me some coping techniques for when I get stressed. Today's appointment was focused on my control issues and how my body is utilizing the Armour thyroid hormone replacement and my immune system. He feels that the Armour is working well for me and that I should stay at my current dose. As for the control, we had a great religious discussion. Nothing new to me, just cool--He noted that our physical bodies cannot be healthy if our spirit is not healthy. He talked about "Tie-ing up your camel" (doing everything within your area of influence) and then let the Lord take over from there and learn to trust and have faith that it will all work out cause it's in the Lord's hands. I thought it was pretty cool that this medical Dr would spend over and hour with me and have a great conversation helping me cope with the stresses that are breaking down my immune system. I mentioned to him that my ankles have been sore since the last time when he worked on them. He said they must have slipped back, so he re-adjusted them and pressed some pressure points. Tonight after Family Prayer, I could stand up with out my ankles hurting for several minutes after. I feel it is a blessing that Cynthia referred me to him.
While I was at my appointment, Lewis took Jo to Cabela's for some bonding.
Let's see what tomorrow brings
